My brother moved to Kansas, July 2008. He has been seeing some nice bucks since he has been out there. He had shot a nice ten pointer, but now he wants this one. Well maybe, next year. I think I am going to see what I can do about moving out there as well. Since I lost my job, it is easier for me to contemplate the move.

I have to find a place for my wife, the 5 kids and myself first! I am sure we can put you up somewhere on a cot! LOL!
All kidding aside, I have to get out of the National Socialist Republic of Nazi Jersey. It's not healthy to live here.

How old are your kids? Kansas could be quite a culture shock for them, thats for sure.

Midwest living is tough to beat, I don't blame you for wanting to run out of NJ

6, 5, 4, 2, and 6 months. I was speaking with my brother about jobs and he said it was like the recession has not even hit there as bad as it did here. I have been out of work for just over a year...rough as h&!!
Even though I am in the NW corner, which is still very scenic, it is still NJ.

If your going to do it do it now.

Those kids get any older and the whole relocation thing will get way difficult.

Coyboy,
I am working on a game plan. First I have to find a job. I heve been out of work for quite some time. My last position was for the Army as a civilian contractor. Contract had ended.
If I could just get a prospective employer to answer me back, preferrably from Kansas, I would be a bit ahead of the game.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I'd say that's about an average size buck for where I hunt here in KS. We grow 'em big here! As for your job, I work for a pretty large General Contractor here in KC, and the market is pretty tough here. Lot of people getting laid off. Best of luck to you man....

That is one good looking buck, and a great picture, up close and personal.
Good luck finding a job. Happy new year.

Thank you Boozer.

NW corner of NJ...hell that's out in the country or at least a far cry different than Newark or Bayonne. It at least puts you in a much better position to adapt to KS lifestyle and scenary. Best of luck to you and yours whatever your decision.
