john burn's .243 load

Not too may .243 barrels do!! If I was concerned about barrel life I would probably pick something different than a .243 but I bet even at that load and not shooting the barrel hot you should still get around 1500 good rounds out of it. If you use the barrel life calculator and use the Powder Heat potential for H1000 it says you should get 1910 out of it. 45 Grains of H4350 only says you should get 1450 out of it. Retumbo shoots very well in .243's with 105VLD's, That is what I used to shoot in my .234AI for a fireform load.
 
105 VLD with Retumbo. We try and stay away from giving actual charges on the web because they can be hot for factory chambers. But you guys got her nailed down pretty close.

We run them about 3050 fps. Barrel life is decent. Not sure if we have a detailed count but it's 1500+ easy if I recall.
