Hello,
After much review I've decided to go with the Jewell trigger. This is going on a new sendero II 300RUM.
Is the appropriate model JT-01?
Is there a thread somewhere with an tutorial of how to install one?
Any stock alterations required on the HS standard sendero stock?
Any other help advice on how to handle this as well as who sells them that I could support.
Thanks in advance, Dave

I would recommend the one with the safety and three springs .I think it is the HVRT .7 to3.5
lbs. It is adjustable in the range i mentioned and is easy to change springs to get the preferred
weight.

There is normally some inletting to be done but it is simple. the safety interfears with the front of
the inlet when operated on some stocks and the bottom metal is to tight for the bolt release
button sometimes.

It is the best trigger made and well worth any fitting in the inletting.

As to installation, it is easier than the Remington trigger and no special tools are needed.

Good Luck.

The trigger should go right in without requiring any fitting. At the very least, you might have to remove some bedding block material that contacts the sides of the trigger housing with a Dremel. I use red lipstick on the protruding pins to check for contact. If there is contact, it will usually effect the bolt release movement. A great time saver is to make sure you drive the rear pin out from right to left, just enough so it still holds the bolt release/ spring assembly in place in the receiver. The front pin should drive from left to right. Below is an instruction sheet and the model listed in the Midway catalog. At this time, most suppliers have the trigger on backorder. I have been trying to get one to no avail and ended up putting a Timney on my Milspec. Its also an excellent trigger at half the price, but limits at 2# and does require that you open up sides of the trigger housing slightly to accommodate the wider trigger(which I personally prefer over the thin Jewel trigger). Hope this helps.

I recently installed one on my sendero. It was very easy. No alterations were needed.Pay attention to the spring that operates the bolt release, so that it is reinstalled properly. It took me about 15 min. I then adjusted the trigger pull to where I wanted.

You will love it and want one on all your rifles.

I have replacement Jewell triggers on both of my Remington 700 Sendero SF 7mm STWs.

I absolutely love mine and I guarantee you will love yours! :)

Dave300,

A good trigger makes both the gun and shoooter better in my opinion. I try to get the customer of every custom build to included a Jewell Trigger, so I agrre you have made a good choice.
I just recieved my first of the year order from Jewell but I,m like everyone else I have sold them all and the shippments run about 8-9 weeks before the next one.
Third Generation had some hit their sight not long ago, hopefully things will get easier to soon.

Good Luck

As I mentioned in a previous post, I couldn't find one. One supplier stated that supplies wouldn't be restored until June/July. Is it possible that even triggers have been effected by the shortage? I never had an issue buying a Jewel trigger.

Appears to be yes! Sure isn't any fun anymore. Actually downright disgusting chasing all these parts and reloading stuff.
I live in Las Vegas and its disgusting trying to find stuff here. Thanks for your reply.dave
