I thought they are native to western WY and eastern ID?

However, someone cudda imported some to that area.

I grew up in PA but didn't see one until I got to Idaho.

They're certainly unique but don't taste worth squat.

We got some jackalopes out here, but you can't get within firing reach. They stand about 3' high and can see you coming from over a mile. And FAST, easily outrun your 4 wheeler. And tough, thrown down on your hunting dog for lunch.

Besides that, during the rut, those horns get razor sharp, wouldn't want to get one ****ed off at you.

I just kinda let them run wild on my land, keeps coyotes down.

They aren't too dangerous if you can catch them in the velvet.

Your Wrong! That photo is definitely known as a easter cotalope. Can't you see the cottontail-antelope cross. Jackalopes are much larger but no branch antler growth!:D
