Hi all finaly after a massive planing and mindnumbing changes I went with the Lawton 7000 for my 338WBX. Yesterday at 2 pm the actions arrived the barrel was already deep chambered this week in anticipation so last night at 9:30pm the first Lawton barreled action in Australia was fitted with my massive muzzle break indexed.
I will fire a shot through it today in a sendaro stock with a 311gr alloy tipped wildcat to see if they stabalise in the 10 twist cut rifled Lawton barrel. hopefully the detachable mag system will be here soon but I will get the stock finished and bedded with a Rem floor plate for now.
The other 8 actions will have to wait their turn. lots of work coming up they will all have Lawton barrels.
