I have been hiting the pawn shops and seeing some Remingtons for under $400.00. I bought a real nice .270 for $375.00 ( had an old Redfield 3x9)the stock was scratched a bit no problem it has (character). Even some sweet looking Springfields two of which the previous owners sunk a lot of cash into. They were for $400.00. I dont know how it is in your town, but if you can, stop in to your friendly pawn shops and check out the prices, they are hurting for sales.
