Good morning. I just joined the site after many years of reading and learning. I live on the east coast where a long shot is 100 yards. As a kid, if we could hit a paper plate at 50 yards, we were all set for the season. After falling in love with elk and mule deer hunting in CO and seeing the extreme ranges possible in the west, I purchased my first long range rifle. I learned all I could before my mule deer hunt last year. On the first evening, the reading and range time paid off with a 300 yard stalk and 500 yard shot on a 180" buck.

Since then, I have been hooked and I am now waiting on a new long range setup from Mr. Allen (APS). I look forward to continued learning.
