New long range shooting and hunting enthusiast. From Katy tx. Just picked up a Christensen arms ridgeline in .280 ackley. anybody els own a ridgeline, or shoot .280 ackley? Tell me about it! I am currently starting load development for the rifle.

Welcome to the Rabbit Hole! I put together a .280AI this year using a Savage 110 action, Criterion barrel and B&C stock. It's very accurate with a mild load (59.2gr) of H4831 pushing 168gr Berger vld's..

My father built it from a Mauser 98 I would say mid 80's. He made a beautiful walnut stock for it. After his passing I sent it to Bullberry for a new barrel and brake. They rechamber it from 280 rem. to 280 AI.
