Anyone tried the new imr enduron 4955 powder in their 300 win mag with berger 215 hybrids. Just looking at a available alternative to h 1000
Thanks

Not a good alternative IMO. I shoot a couple of 7 mags with 168 Bergers. One uses IMR 7977, the other uses H1000 with great results.
I have 8 lbs of IMR4955 and so I worked-up a successful load in my 7 Mag shooting a Hornady 150 ELD-X. 4955 seems to burn very fast compared to what the ole "burn chart" says😳.

Just my opinion 👍

Thanks for your reply. I too use H 1000 in my 7 Mag & my 300 wm with great results, but I keep missing the H1000 when it pops up for sale. I've found the imr 4955 several time & the Hodgdon site lists 4955 for the heavier bullets. FPS listed is about 100 fps slower than I get with H1000. I guess I'll keep looking for H1000
Thanks

IMR 4955 seems to be a decent powder for 300 win only if you stay with bullets under about 168ish, once you start seeing pressure it builds quick, as mentioned look elsewhere for the heavy bullets you shoot.
