IMR 7977 and RL 26

Has anyone tried these powders in the 338 RUM?

IMR 7977 and RL 26 with 250's

RL 23 with 225 gr

I'm building a custom 338 Lapua with Phoenix custom rifles and want to know about 7977 as well. Not much out there regarding this combo...

In my Lapua I use H1000 with 300gr Berger Hunting VLD @ 91.5 for 2800 FPS

Barrel length?? I'm looking at making mine 27 1/2"

The AR 30 has a 26"

With that Brake........I can shoot it with one hand

I have used RL 33, Magnum, Retumbo and H1000

I settled on H1000 with the 300 Bergers......man what a great BC...........

Suggest stock up on Lapua Brass...........the Hornady brass is to soft and expands at upper pressures.

I use H1000 in my 338 RUM also......but interested in the new powders.
