Ideal barrel length?

What is the ideal barrel length for a 224 valkrie? Not planning to put a suppressor on it unless the process for that gets easier and less expensive. How long does the barrel have to be to reach it's full potential?

if by full potential you mean highest velocity it would probably be longer than you would want to use in the field for converting coyotes.

20-24".

My swifts tend to run 24".

I don't mind the weight but it's a pain if the rifle is clumsy.
