Been retired for just over a year…..and couldn't buy what I wanted so I had to make it….

I luckily remembered how to turn on the lathe….trued the machine up….and got to cutting.

A few short hours later…..

And my new backpacking setup is done. Just over 6lbs as pictured….so basically X-frame weight. 308 win 1-10 Brux, 14.5", wave flute, micro bastard brake, Egw base, hs style bolt release, bedded, trued, Trijicon Credo optic.

Lots of people on this site with some amazing abilities. I don't think I have the patience for what you guys can do!!!

Looks great!!

I have a question... Would you benefit from a quicker twist in a short barrel for terminal performance?
Or, is that just theoretical?

Thanks

Quit thinking ;-)
It isn't patience so much as organization and a plan.
Now that you have a plan and some organization it' time to think again.

I'll admit good tools help.

What were the items you turned?
Your pistol looks great and it shoots too!
I may get a lathe to use as long as I want in my shop. Just got my Bridgeport repaired and running.
