My wife has a single shot 243 her father gave her and I need to load up some rounds for the crop deer shooting in a few months.

I have a whole bunch of moly 6mm BARNS bullets but I have never shot BARNS bullets before so I need a little advice on seating depth? Do they like to touch or am I better off jumping them in?

I shoot Barnes in three rifles. I have NEVER found them to shoot well close. In fact, in the .257 they have gotten better as I get farther off. they shot groups around an inch and a quarter until I hit 0.06 off and they closed up to 6/10" and at .070 went under .5".. I need to load one more set and test from .06-.100 off the lands. So far, farther is better. In my .284 they like about .050 and in my .224 .030 worked. I'm shooting the TTSX. I have not shot the moly coated VLC's
