Picked up 4 pounds of LRT, figured it would make good trade fodder for N165, RL22 etc. But no takers, at least for now. Wouldn't be the first time I had 4 pounds of powerder I didnt need after all these years. LOL.

Looks like I may be stuck with it. Its pretty slow powerder, I guess about like Retumbo. Would think it would work well for my my weatherbys, 257, 270 wby, probably my 300 Wby too. I'm sure it would work in my 416 Rigby, but I worked up loads with filler 20 years ago so I didnt have to drop 100 grains when I can drop much less and do the same.

I found some 257 wby LRT data, not much else. Guess I better poke around an see what I can find/work up.

Anybody played with Ramshot LRT yet.

I recently acquired several pounds and hope to play with it this summer. Supposed to be good for guns that like Retumbo like slow powders. I hope it works great since it easily available and cost far less than similar powders.

I have been working on a load for my 338 RUM with LRT and 285 eldm's. I am getting good velocities but am having a hard time getting groups sub moa which bothers me. Maybe its a seating issue or maybe I suck at shooting but I can shoot my 270 sub moa without issue. Not giving up cause I have 2 kegs and no other options for powders at the moment with the current situation.

I bet for Lupua, RUM it would be good powder. Now days I keep it simple, 338, 300 Rem Mag for the most part. I haven't played with my Wby's other than my 257 in years. I haven't had a RUM since the 90's. I built a RUM before they were cool.

I bet LRT would be good 270 Wby powder too. I don't think LRT show on any of burn charts, all I know is what Western as published.
