I plan on hunting moose and elk so going after back and forth between the 7SAUM, 7WSM, 7MM, 7STW, 7RUM, 280, 300SAUM, 300WSM, 300WM, 300RUM and settled on the 300 WSM for my mountain/Alaska moose and elk hunting.

I am looking for a scope. During this years hunt for mule deer and antelope, after belly crawing to get within my range. I found myself aiming and holding my 243 on air with 300 yards shots in a 20 MPH cross winds. I like holding on hair not air and I need to be able to shoot to 500 yards.

I am looking at the Zeiss 3.5-10X44 or Zeiss 4.5-14X44 with the Rapid Z 600 reticle but am also considering the Leupold VX3-3.5-10X40 or VX3 4.5-14X40 with the CDS. What is your preference on scopes? Zapid Z 600 or the Leupold CDS? 3.5-10 or 4.5-14? 40mm or 44mm?

Just my .02 but might consider a USO. Am ordering another one Monday for my just completed 300 Jarrett ""yesterday" and is still out in my truck from the drive home yesterday.
