Thanks to all! Its been a long time trying to break the 170 mark. I was starting to wonder if possible on public land. Many a long disappointed seasons and forcing myself not to take younger deer.

Well it started about 10 years ago,lol!
Just started putting in for different units in my home state of Oregon looking to break the 170 mark and long story short, i got lucky this year
Oregon can definitely produce some 170+ bucks on private land. Good job looks like your more central Oregon then eastern. I hunt eastern pretty religious

I have seen a couple that were that big before. One in the Boise Zoo when they had a deer exhibit. The other in the back of someone else's truck. My ex wife was trying to get on one I counted 5 tines on one side once, but he took off before she could take her shot. Beautiful deer.

Awesome buck - I was going to say it looks like Idaho, but Eastern Oregon is pretty much the same.
