What is the weight and round count. Also the twist of barrel.

Brian

No wind this morning so I shot these at 200 yards, prone, bipod, average speed 2884 with the 130 bergers.

Thanks Sarge, this rifle shoots very good for a lightweight.

I've got to bump this based on my experience with my new left handed H-S PHL lightweight in 6.5 Creed.

Was just at a long range hunting/shooting class over the weekend. Only able to shoot to 600, but with a 6.0 pound rifle, I consider that plenty!
Was able to check all my dope out to 600 from prone and the 140 grain Winchester match loads were right on. It got almost boring hitting the 10" steel every shot. LOL The movers were also a ton of fun at 100, 200 & 300 yards. Again, incredible repeatable performance.

Great rifles for the $$. I know mine will be climbing a mountain in Alaska with me after mountain goat very soon.

Chopperguy,

Is your rifle a 1-9 twist? We're you shooting 130 or 140 grain loads?

Believe mine is a 1/8 or 1/8.5. Shooting 142grain Sierra Match Kings.

3/4" group when I checked zero with 5 shots at the beginning of class.

The only difference I have observed between a 9 twist and 8 twist is less pressure with the 9 twist. I get the same accuracy with 140's at sea level as I do at 7000'. I prefer the 130's for a little more speed and less recoil but this a hunting weapon.

3/4 " 5 shot group is great for a 6 lb rifle.

HS has a 1/2 MOA guarantee. I like that kind of confidence.

I agree, the 1/9 is fins with the 130s & 140s. I shoot both in the 6.5x55 and 6.5x284 that have 1/9 barrels. Never an issue out to 1200 + yards in training.

A lot of shooters get all bound up on the 6.5 needing faster twist for heavier bullets.

That's not been my experience.

Def not bound up. I've only had experience with 1:8 twist 6.5 barrels. My local guy here(who I have great respect for opinion) uses 1-8 or 1:8.5. For my usage, it would mean a whole lot either way. Max range 500 yds.

Appreciate the info and insight.
