I plan to use same in .22-.250 with 75"s, and .243 and 6.5X47 Lapua with common bullet weights.
How is StaBall 6.5 working out?

I started using it in my 6.5 CM and my sons .270 win, they both love it. Very, very accurate with very low SD numbers. Both guns killed bucks this year, one in fairly warm weather, the other in cold and snow. Seems to be fairly temp stable.

there have been a couple of threads on this powder... seems hit or miss. I'm working a bit with rl16 right now instead in my 7-08 pistol... haven't gotten serious yet though.

Seems like unicorn dust in 6.5CM based on a sample size of 1 person I know doing it. Velocity gains are impressive. Had me worried he was pumping pressures too high but no, no signs of pressure.

Thanks all - next week I will try StaBall in .22-.250 7.7T w 75's & 6.5X47L 8T w 130's. Need to save my H4350 & RL16.
My experiences with H414 shows it reacts with higher temps. A real nice .22-.250, H414 load of 34.5 gr & the 75 ELDM shot very well at 60* or so temps but when we used the same load at 90*+, it gave sticky bolt lifts & expanded primer pockets, no problems with a similar load using the old standby H4350. Targets were 8 inch steel plates at 500 yards. I can feel warmer temps coming.

If you like H4350, check out RL-23. It meters really poorly but performs identical to H4350 in 6mm grain for grain. Ridiculously temp stable. Not super popular so should be easier to find in stock.

Been using RL23 in 6mm (45.8 gr, 105's) & 6.5-06 (52.5 gr.- 50.0 gr. with 120's & 140"s) & .243 W (43.5 gr. with 105's)
Real good temperature tolerance from like 20* to 90*, a go to powder for my bigger rodent rifles and 178's in .300WM.
As far as metering, vastly superior to H1000, like small pellets compared to briquets.
Can't get enough of RL23

Using it in a 22 creedmoor and 88gr eld-m and picked up 100 fps over h4350. Your 22-250 ought to love it
It's been good for me in the 7-08 with heavy bullets although as Iv'e stated here prior, it leaves a lot of residue in the barrel but it seems fairly easy to clean.

Standard or magnum primers?
Iv'e used both, their didn't seem to be much difference. I do feel that it is a good powder for the 7-08 which is the one cartridge that seems to do well with ball powders. The primersI used were BR-2's and 250's

RL-23 seems to like (like pretty much every magum-y gunpowder) a full case and a heavy bullet. After that it doesn't seem real opinionated about what it's paired with. I got identical results with Winchester LRP's (they say for standard or magnum loads so I assume they lean magnum-y) and Federal 205MAR SRP and F210M LRP. I'm running 39.5gr under 115 DTAC's in 6XC for 2980fps and ran 45.5gr under a 115 DTAC or 108 ELD-M for 3200fps in .243AI.
RL-23 is no good for 7mm-08. It's not nearly overbore enough for RL-23. 7-08 would probably LOVE the hell out of IMR 4166 in lighter bullet loads (140's and down). That's right up that particular alley and it's a hell of a good powder. 4166 is super temp stable, makes sick high velocities and is clean burning.
According to Hodgdon's site, StaBall6.5 is fantastic in 7-08.

Testing Staball is on my to do list, I just haven't had time to do it yet.
The fact that some have had good luck with it helps, but for what I want to use it in it remains to be seen if it will perform because all cartridges react differently in different rifles.
I'm looking for a heat stable substitute for H 414. and Hoping that it will work. W 760 has replaced the h414 But it is heat sensitive like the H 414.
Just have to try it in my rifles and see.

I've used a lot of H 414/WW760 in my three 7mm/08's. Although somewhat temp sensitive I got good velocity (2900ft/sec) and great accuracy with 140 gr class bullets. I've also tried StaBall 6.5 and H-100V with the same bullets(145 Speer SBT). Got the highest velocity with StaBall (3012 ft/sec) but not as good accuracy as 414/760. What I found with StaBall is the pressure spikes very fast. With H-100 V velocity was only appx 20 ft/sec(2992ft/sec) less than StaBall but accuracy was almost as good as 414/760 and the pressure curve is like 414/760 no surprises. H-100V is what I now use in my 7/08 for hunting with 140 gr class bullets. JME Velocities mentioned are from 24" barrel.
