Consistency, consistency, consistency, Is the advantage no matter what brand of brass you buy.
Some brands are better than others and have less discontinuities. Some brands drill the flash holes and this creates a bur or sharp edge on the inside. other manufacturers punch their flash holes and sometimes this causes a phenomenon/defect called a fingernail. All of these defects can have an impact on consistency.
So no matter how or what you do to the flash holes as long as you do the sane thing it will benefit your performance. We go to a lot of trouble to do everything else the same and then we overlook the cause of redirecting the flame from the primer in different directions or disturbed that can alter the performance of the primer
