How I find lands in chambers

Split 2 sides of sized case neck insert bullet of your choice just enough to hold it then chamber it
remove carefully and measure as picture. this will give you the most accurate measurment you can get. THEN SET SEATING DIE TO THIS LENGTH.
the lands will push bullet back into case.

looks good. You might want to use a black marker or a lighter to put soot on the bullet. often the bullet will jam slightly into the lands and stick, pulling the bullet out of the case slightly. Make sure the pistol brass has been deprimed. Also often the primer will have a slight bump around the firing pin causing a slight difference in measurement depending on exactly where you have the caliper.

I find the Hornady LNL OAL gauge much more repeatable.

And lands are in bores, rarely in chambers.
