I'm new to reloading and I'll soon be working load for my .338 Rum. I'll be using 250gr to 300gr bullets from sierra or Berger . Im looking for a recomendation for how far to seat the bullets off the lands. Also, I will be single loading. Thanks

The first "sticky" thread in this catagory has great info on Berger reloading. http://www.longrangehunting.com/for...accuracy-berger-vld-bullets-your-rifle-40204/

Problem is going to be one of trial and error in finding the sweet spot for your chambering. Since all of my rifles are made by the same gunsmith who uses his own reamers I can always set them off .002 to .003 and come quite close to optimum using Sierra MK's. With the Berger's I use .050 and test from there.
