How can i keep my painted stock from being sticky.

I've just painted a stock with Krylon and satin clear coat. How can i keep it from staying tacky? This is the second time i've painted it and it stayed tacky for a month the last time. Is there any way to make it non-tacky. or is that the problem with spray paint? Thank you

How many days did you wait in between coats? I know I hurried the process once and ended up with a tacky stock.

i painted the stock in 1 hour increments in 85 degree heat with 15 min. drying spray paint....the clear i did 2 coats in about 45 minutes....i may need to go over it with another coat or two of clear. it's now only tacky in places.....
