Hornady v-max

Here's a before and after picture of a hornady 55gr v-max .224 cal. 24.6 gr of Winchester 748 powder. cci 450 primers. Got this one out of an oak log.

I'm surprised it held together. The oak log must have helped in stay in one piece. They explode a prairie dog!!

Yeah me too. The log I admit. Not a very good anolog for tissue and organs. The outside shell of the log was about two inches thick and the inside was all rotten. Slowed it don't really good. I don't know I'm pretty partial to the v-max.

I was testing a couple loads at the range I thought a quarter inch piece of steel would hold up against my little v-max... I guess not..
