Hornady 225hpbt 300wm drop

Hello fellow shooters, what bc do you guys use for that bullet, if i use .670 it shoots high at all yardages . Hornady 225phbt 2890fps. Thanks

how much high and at what range? i can put it into my ballistic program and give you a new BC to try.

18moa was 1moa high at 880 yards . 22.5 moa was 2 moa high at 1000 yards . Sighted in 220 yards .Elevation 2500' temp 85f. scope hight 1.9". Thank you

I played around with it and you would need a BC of .770 to match the drop at 880 yards but a BC in the .8s to match the drop at 1000 yards. But when i entered in 2980 fps and kept the BC at .670 at matched both drops perfectly. I would switch your velocity to 2980 and leave the BC alone.

2980 is **** fast for a 300 win and a 225 hdy. That's all I push 'em in a 300 rum. Not sayin' it isn't possible, but ****. Good pill btw..

you are right i am not pushing them that fast i am only getting 2890 but thats what was suggested i use to match drop chart

What is your load? I could try adjusting the MV and BC at the same time and see what i come up with.

how high were you sighted in at 220 yards? Are these the conditions you shot in, or zeroed? Or both?

Zeroed at 220 i know its weard distance but its where they have a target board and shot in these conditions. Thanks for your help

i cant figure out a BC and Velocity that will match your drops exactly. Sorry

Where are you located? Reason I ask is the range I use has 220 yard target and goes to 1k but the shot angle is different for each distance and needs accounted for.
