Hi from Georgia

Look up the georgia regs from the dnr website. There is plenty of public land up in the northeast available for hunting. Even the county i live in has a bear season. But very little public land. Broad river wma has some bear population. But public land is the key. We supposedly have bear and cougar, but you can't prove it by me or my friends. The oconee national forest has plenty of land available, word of mouth, plus talking with game wardens. Will get you on the right track. Some public lands require check in stations. Read your regs closely.
Welcome to lrh. I live on the eastern side of the state near athens.
