I have inherited, what I believe to be, an original Bullalo, NY 256 Newton. I'm excited to start reloading for this rifle, but have found that the safety doesn't work. Worries me a bit. I was wondering if anyone on here has experience with these rifles, and can give me advice as to how to pursue a resolution to my issue.

Get it to a qualified gunsmith. If a part is broken then they should be able to machine a new part. Congrats on a great gun.

Yes what a sweet rifle...if you run into difficulty let me know, I know some gunsmiths that could help you out
I feel pretty stupid, but I found the safety does work. It swings almost 270 degrees from the fire position to be in a the safe position. I'm in the process of making brass from some once fired .270 brass I had laying around. I'm interested to see if the old girl will shoot.
