Dear people,
I need some help, I bought a Tikka T3 Lite Stainless .308 (a very popular caliber in Argentina), and today I´ll send an email to a friend in USA asking for a Swarovski Z3 4-12 x 50 BRH Reticle (I spend some months per year USA for recreational holidays, but I am not going again till March). The idea is mostly punching paper at long distances, and some day hunting. I do not have the bases and rings yet, but the idea is to buy the Opti-Lock in Stainless steel finish to match exactly the Tikka Barrel. I read very good reviews about the quality of this rings.
The question is, which size of rings do I have to buy, MEDIUM or LOW? I was checking the Beretta web site and they have a table which indicate LOW rings for scopes up to 63mm for normal barrels and 55mm for bull barrels. But I read some posts about people who use the Medium ones with 50mm scopes "just in case" and to have a better parabola of correction? Is this true.
I understand the ones I need are: S130R924
http://www.berettausa.com/products/sako ... stainless/
I think the bases are the same for all the scopes: S132R916
http://www.berettausa.com/products/tikk ... ss-finish
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards.
Agustín.
