*help* 22-250 load

You wont go too far wrong with 38grains of H380 underneath a 55gr VMax or Ballistic tip.Tried and tested by many

I used a 50gr nosler bt pushed by 36 grains of varget (3750fps) for a while. Now I prefer to use H-380. It is a little more accurate in my 22-250. It is also much faster to load because it is a ball powder and meters much better. H-380 is made for the 22-250.

My current load is 38.5 grains H-380 with a 52gr A-max (3600fps). It is a mild load that holds 1/2 moa or better. I use WLR primers. If you want the best brass get Lapua, otherwise I have gotten longer life out of remington brass than winchester in this cartridge.

If you all are only getting 3750 with 50s and 3600 with 52s something is wrong. I can get real close to 4k with 50s accurately with no pressure and 53s at 3900, both with H4895 or 4064. H380 is accurate, but also dirty as hell.

Nothing wrong at all, I said it was a mild load, I can get a lot more velocity. I am only at 38.5 grains of h-380. Book max is 41-42 for around 3900fps or so. I like to use a milder load with a high volume cartridge. It is dirty compared to varget but less powder helps this problem too. I am actually building mine into a 6mmbr as it will suit my needs better.

I have used 38 grs varget and 50 gr nosler ballistic tips w fed 210m.For me they have always shot better than any other load in a remote and others w 14 twist.Usually right on 3800 fps.Start lower and work up always also using ww. Brass
