Hello All, I am in the market for a new carbon barrel and the two main suppliers that build quality barrels are HC and PROOF. I will ask the stupid question, which one is better?
In my research, I found that HC has a slight advantage because they use about 40% less resin and resin is not as strong, rigid and does NOT (edited later) dissipate heat as fast as carbon. Also, HC uses Benchmark blank barrels.
I am inclined to go with HC, however, I've seen quite a few members using PROOF. Price is not an issue.
What are your thoughts?
TIA
