Hello from GA!!!I am new to the forum and somewhat new to long range hunting. I first started shooting out past 100 yards about 6 years ago, got into reloading and built my first rifle 3 years ago. I took a doe with it at 387 yards.
The rifle was a K29 Mauser action, Boyds stock, Green Mountain barrel, Bold Trigger, and a cheap Bushnell Nitro with mil holdover reticle. This was the first and only gun I have cut a barrel and chambered myself. Making the barrel was the easy part but scraping the barrel channel to free float the barrel was the hardest part to me. Overall a fun project though.
