So, I coated about 300 bullets with HBN. Needless to say...It was an impulse buy and now I have decided to not use it. Can I remove it(HBN) from the coated bullets? With what?

I coated some a decided to use .177 bb's and the copper coating on the bb's turned the mix brownish, I got worried about shooting that down my barrels so I cleaned them with acetone and re did them , worked out good but i only did 20 that first time

I am also curious why you don't want to shoot the coated bullets?
