I know the twist needs to be 1-8 however I have a factory Sendaro that still shoots 1/2" at 200 yds using nosler 160 AB. Everything is DRT. But would like to try the 180 VLD and see what this rifle will accomplish...... PLEASE SHARE LOAD SPECIFICS, I will work up after I confirm data.

I don’t think you need a one and eight twist although I do not have a 180 VLD on this chart similar bullets seem to require at least a one and 11 twist rateimage.jpg

I have shot the 7mm (.284) 180 vld in one of my stw’s with a 1:9 twist and shot well under .5moa. 76 grains of retumbo, fed 215 mag, nosler brass. 3.700”

Comparing .308 vs .284 bullets in the same weight for barrel twist will really get you scratching your head….

Berger has a twist rate calculator on their website you might check out
