Those are areas 36A and 36B, they fly low in both those areas all the time. On 36A there are some mock army thanks and they fly by simulating ground attacks.
They been fighting to keep them out of retirement and are still active, I think. My son and I saw them fly over our house yesterday. And yes, they are bad @$$.
I'll check out the new one you mentioned.
Been a crew chief on the A-10 for 18 years and counting. It's definitely badass and I love it. I'm heading up some big new mods to ours right now. Hopefully it'll convince the Air Force to keep them.

Dam the BEST Close Air Support "Wort Hog" in the world!!!!
Didn't have them when I was in, but we Marines had the A-6 Intruder, F-4 Phantom, Harrier and our best friends for FAC was the Cobra Helicopter when close fire was needed.
The HOG is always upgraded and should be. Proven to be the BEST in the world of Close Air support and Tank killers.

It's true, but I like to think after growing up on a farm and them being in the military and as an aircraft mechanic, being stationed around the world and deployed around the world, plus all the hunting, reloading, shooting, bullet testing, and my own business in that industry, I'm pretty well rounded. There's tons of experience I have yet to gain, and I seek that experience everyday. I'll never know it all. None of us will. I just hope to have the body to continue learning and put it all to good use lol. Hopefully I can pass it down to my kids too.
