Finally got out to finish up load development with my 280 AI. Details below. 280 AI, 24” Criterion barrel, 1:9 twist 120 gr Hammer Hunter Petersen brass 215 Primer 3.250” COAL Lee FCD set up to factory recommendations 64.3 gr StaBall 3541 fps, ES 3, 1x fired brass, 0.002 shoulder bump, 0.487 moa 3563 fps, ES 6, new brass, 0.553 moa Side note, I love Petersen brass. It gave me over 100 fps over my old load with the previous barrel. Plus, this load isn’t the top node. I had another node above it at 3650 fps without pressure, but it wasn’t as accurate. Also, realized my picatinny rail was a little loose when I finished shooting today. My groups could possibly be even better than what I got today. Looks like I found a winner boys. Thinking this rifle may get to go pronghorn hunting in NM next month. Will have to see how it shoots out to 300 yards (my range max) before I pick it over my 6.5-284 Norma and it’s proven load with the 109 gr Absolute Hammer.
