Hammer Hunter Load Data, (See page 1, Post 8)

I have a box of 30 caliber 166 HH to try out in my 10 twist 300WM. I checked the repository for loads, saw one load.

Would anyone using HH 166 mind sharing what load you'r use with these bullets on 300WM?

Finally got around to loading up some of the 181 HH for my brothers .300 Win Mag

26" Browning Xbolt - Dead Air Nomad L
.300 Win Mag
181 HH
RL-26
Hornady Brass
CCI 250
3.608" COAL
FCD 1/4 turn

78.5 - 3133 fps
79 - 3142 fps
79.5 - 3177 fps
80 - 3210 fps

Starting to get near pressure with 80 gr but will go up a bit looking for a higher node. Even still 79.5 looks like a winner with a sub 1/2 moa group and both shots that registered being 3177 fps.

Interestingly we also shot some of the extras to pressure test in a buddies rifle, his 24" proof showed pressure with bright ejector marks at 79 with a velocity of 3187 fps for the one shot we tried.

180HHs were basically same POI with the 168 TSXs shot the last time I adjusted the scope. Max vertical dispersion for the ladder was ~1" over 160fps for the 180 HHs, 152 SHs were ~2" over 293fps.

I've now officially used Reloder 15.5. Was kind of bummed by the speeds at first but I had to remind myself that pushing a 150gn bullet almost 3100fps from a 30-06 is NOT bad, I was just coming off shooting the 178 AHs and the stupid numbers those put up. I also didn't push the cases nearly as hard as I did with H100V and W760, both of which I've used before, and I didn't really want to get into compressing it the first time out.

All cases were annealed, FL sized with no button, mandrel expanded to .3050", and had a Butterbean 1/4 FCD crimp.

I have a question for those that have a 6.5 Creed, which Hammer Hunters have you found to be the most accurate? I have tried 124gr and 110gr., both have shot between .347 and .622 moa with RL16 and Lapua LRP brass. I did try Staball 6.5 today with 124gr HH and could only get it down to .920 moa. I have found with the two powders, both at 44gr with 2 shot strings are getting 0 ES and 0 SD, those are at near compress loads. Any info anyone wants to provide would be greatly appreciated.

I've got the 123 absolute hammer shooting sub 0.5 moa and staying consistent out to 600 yards in dead flat calm. If it's windy they do get pushed around a bit. I had good results with both Varget and H4350. Check the absolute hammer thread for my data on the 123's. Will be trying the 124 HH's soon in a 6.5 SS

Thank you for the info, I have been wanting to try out the Absolute Hammer.

I run both the 124 HH and 123 AH. Both are very accurate. The 124 is going 3033 fps and the 123 is 100 fps faster. The 124 is a little more accurate in my rifle than the 123.
