Well, I've quit with the 120HHs in the 7 RUM for the time being. Got over 4000 fps with 3 powders, but all with excessive pressure.
Couldnt get a group below 1" with but one and primer pockets lasted 2 loadings. Speed still just over 4000. All would probably shoot fine at lower belocity, but that wasn't the goal.
I've gone through most of my 100 bullets. Might try again with the 101s. That's lot of powder to get through a smaller bore, I guess?
Got some Varget. Need to pick up my 760 I guess.

Yeah, I feel your pain. Couldn't get the 140 AH's to shoot like I wanted them to in my 280 AI, and I shot almost all 100 of them, too. I'm looking at the 120 Hunter or 119 AH, but now you've got me thinking about the 101……**** you!!

I ran the 101 HBO's out to 425 yards this afternoon, Speed Will Kill Gentlemen, I have been on a quest since I could remember to turn everything into a 220 Swift, I got it done with a 101 grain 30 cal pill, I zeroed at 100 and it shot .5 mil high at 400 the top was the 1st shot and I held low on the other 4

Christensen Arms Mesa 28 nosler. 143 Hammer Hunters, Nosler Brass, CCI Mag Primers, 81 grains RL 26, Loaded at 3.50 OAL. I started with 78 and ran up to 82 grains. At 82 the bolt was noticeably stiff so I loaded 5 at 81 grains this past weekend and borrowed a buddy s Magneto Speed and headed to the range. I felt the 2 shots that I slightly pulled but the Best thing I can say is That Was Easy !

Nice, looks like they will still hit hard at that distance. Have you shot the 124s at 425 yards? Just wondering which bullet has less drop.
