BEAN - you're costing us more money! I never crimped a rifle bullet in over 40years. Now I ordered 2 FCD dies just to see how it works with my Hammers.
No more suggestions!!

So my biggest question with this is how does it affect the longevity of the brass? I just started crimping as well and after firing and sizing there's still a grove area where the brass was crimped. After 2-3 crimps does the brass still hold up or do you have to trim the crimp area off?

This is once fired and sized with a 1/4T crimp.

Ask Bean. When I showed him mine he said too much crimp. Guess his hand tight and mine were different?

I can back off 1/8t and see if it shoots different. Can't even see a crimp with that?

That's way too much crimp but It won't hurt a thing, I've been crimping for decades
