Had a great weekend in Montana (Blackfeet Nation)

Well after building a load for my Kimber 280 Ackley with a Barnes 145 LRX and H4831sc. Found a unique looking antelope and took a 375 yard shot and my load development all came together on Friday Oct. 15.

Saturday morning I was blessed at first light with possibly my personal best bull elk on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana. 531yd out of my new Christensen Arms Travers in a 28 Nosler.
I have never ran into elk in this basin and thought how cool would that be if I saw some in there. Walked to the rock ledge over looking the basin, low and behold there was my 355" bull. Was a very very good weekend and with it's abundant of meat supply on top of my wife's pope and young bull moose were going to be eating good this winter.
Beautiful country and good job with the hunt. You are a lucky man.

Nice Job! Did you use 145 LRX with the 28 Nos too?

Ok, we were all probably envious enough looking at the bull and buck you shot in the same weekend, but then you have to rub it in that your wife is also a hunter and took down a bucket list animal with a bow.... C'mon, man - that's just cruel:).
In all seriousness, tho, congrats on a great weekend hunting and congrats to your wife on a great moose as well!!

Hahaha thank you. Sure been a blessed last few years of hunting. My son shot a 200" muley as a 12yo kid just a few hundred yards from where I got my elk 2 seasons ago and I was able to shoot a 207" muley in almost the same spot in 17'.
