H1000

I'm needing some H1000 for a 6.5 PRC build I'm working on but figure it will be at least a year before my build is completed. My local store has a 8 pound keg for $350+tax. Should I grab that up or wait until I can find some for a better price?
It's also not the only powder out there that works. RL17, RL22, RAMSHOT MAGNUM, Retumbo, US869, VV20N41, about a dozen others that work really well.

Definitely buy it. I lucked into 4lbs the other day at $36/lb but first I've seen of it in a long time at normal pricing. Was able to score some Retumbo, H4350 and RL26.

I didn't read the entire thread. I have one pound of H 1000 and I live in South central PA. I would give it up for a fair price or take a trade for something else.

What's the name of your local store? Lol

I wish I could even find H1000. That's my goto for my 300 wm that I have all my loads figured out on and it's out of stock everywhere here. I'd definitely buy it.

I use both H1000 and IMR 7828ssc in my 6.5 PRC Ruger Hawkeye. Both powders perform equally well. In tests to confirm nodes two days ago, both powders produced .5 MOA's at 300 yards.

If you can get the H1000 at your stated price, buy it and buy it NOW! Do it before it's gone, not to return for many months.
