Ok First let me give you the gun specs...I hope somebody here is shooting a similar Rifle ..it's a G.A. Precision 27" Mike Rock Barrel on a Rem 700 Action, I'm shooting 300 Grain SMK"s, I started out with 87 Grains of Reloader 25 and worked up to 90 it is ok but I have no doubt it can shoot better... I have shot the best groups out of it with Black Hills 300gr Smk's but they were Hot! every piece of brass has an ejecter mark on it..the bolt was not hard to lift just the marks on the brass ...it has also been pretty cool everytime I have shot the .338..in the high 50's to mid 60's
just bought a lb of H1000 and was wondering if anybody here has had good luck with it? any load info would be great ...Like I stated above I"m using 300 Smk's,and Lapua Brass, and 215M Fed Primers. Thanks

These are in a GAP CZ550 with an AI barrel. George chambered it to load 300 SMK at 3.7" OAL.
H1000
89.5 2700
90 2724
90.5 2752
91 2764
91.5 2770

These all shot very well. Above 92 gr the bolt lift was getting stiff.

just wondering, I thought I saw something on here about the 250 primers, now I wonder if thats the one to use or 215s work

I have the same marks on mine brass after the reloader 19, havent tried the h-1000 yet. loaded and ready though

I shoot H-1000 throught my 338-378 WBY with great results. Best powder I could find for 250gn Partitions (hunting) Havent been able to get ahold of any 300gn SMK's yet though. As for most loads so far the chrono has shown that my gun in particular likes the H-1000. very close FPS reading with almost all loads. like within 30fps...

Just noticed the post is 8 years old and OP ain't posted since 2006 but the good news is that the info is still just a good as the day it was posted.
Good luck.
