I have a H&R Ultra Varmint with a fluted 24" barrel in .223. My question for anybody is 1) does anybody own one 2) would you recommend getting the .308 barrel for it and finally 3) getting the most accuracy out of it.
Thanks,
John

I do in fact own one, in the same caliber in fact and have had some nice results but I'm looking to push it further so I posted some questions that have yet to be answered. In return, where specifically were you looking to get that barrel from?

I have yet to recieve a result from my inquires, and as a matter of face a .308 barrel on this rifle would be and interesting alternative to a new build ....so your question is just as interesting as the one that I originally posted so I have an itch to find the answer to them both.
