H.R. 6126 - End the Normalized Delay of Suppressors Act of 2020 PROGRESS??

Just wondering if anybody on the forum has heard or knows if the House Bill 6126 is gaining any traction in the House or any updates on the Bill??

End the Normalized Delay of Suppressors Act of 2020

This bill modifies procedural requirements related to the transfer of a silencer.

Specifically, it permits the transfer of a silencer if 90 days have elapsed since the application to transfer the silencer was filed, and the application has not been denied.

The bill also establishes reporting requirements on the timeliness of criminal background checks conducted with respect to certain prospective firearm transfers.

We should be actively pushing for the safe hearing act and take suppressors out of the NFA
Most European countries REQUIRE suppressors for hunting, so why are we restricted from obtaining one?

There are guidelines for denials, they can't just arbitrarily deny applications.

There have been a few bills put up, but none have gotten much traction. Once the dems take over in November, we'll be lucky to be able to have a gun, much less a suppressor.

The safe hearing act is DONE, had our chance on that 2 years ago and it didn't pass the House.

doubt this would pass, there is a 3 day federal limit on standard background checks already (not NFA items though)---- BUT, not many FFL's will release the firearm if they dont get a response within 3 days-- they still make you wait until they have a result--especially the big box stores (it recently happened again in CO again-- wait times went up to 4 days, yet if you tried to get your firearm after 3 days, MOST FFL's wont release them

they call it the "Charleston loophole" : Under federal law, if an FFL who has initiated a background check has not been notified within three business days that the sale would violate federal or state laws, the dealer may proceed with the sale by default.
