I tried searching, but it seems that the newest information that is available is pretty old and has some dead links in them. I have a post-64 Model 70 LA that was "customized" a bit by the previous owner (I bought it used), including some unknown (not a standard scope base pitch) base screws. I'd like to get the action cut for 8-40 screws, have a new scope base (provided by me) opened up to accept the larger screw size, as well as have a Wyatt's box installed so I don't to single feed the rifle. Does anyone know of someone in the area that can do this? I appreciate the help.
