Grunt call for Deer?

I have had success with few short low grunts on my N&H. Usually add a couple of hits with a rattle bag about ten or twenty seconds before or after I grunt. Seems to work best about a week or so before the full rut sets in. Also, on several occasions, have had a small buck come in first, then he draws the big guy in. He will come in down wind and be watching very closely. I'm talking white tails, not mulies. Also, this usually becomes close range action. Under 100-200 yards, maybe a lot closer.

Yes, with antler rattling or as often incorrecly referred to "horns,"depending on time of year. At other times of year a fawns bleat will be effective. These types of calls are effective on both Whitetail, Mule deer. :D
