Got my new Kestrel???

It is the 3500 NV. Everything seems to work correctly except I can not get the back light to come on. What do you have to do to get it to come on so I can see the readouts in the dark?

On my 3500 all I do is press the center button momentarily after the unit is on and the backlight comes on.

I got it now. It was on all the time until I turned it off I could see the difference. I thought it would be brighter than it is.

It's not very bright when you look at it in bright light but when there's no light or low light it makes it very readable.

It's designed to be low intensity so that it does not ruin your night vision.
