Good size male Coyote down.

Got this dog today. Went out to the ranch and waited for them to start howling. About 520 they started. Son and I crept through the hills for about 1/2 mile until I saw a dog looking right across the canyon. Estimated it at 200 yards which my gun is zero'd at 175. Laid down prone and squeezed one off. Hit where I was aiming. Dog had a good pelt. Nicely scarred face.

But the 7-08 AI shooting a 140g AB @2950 did a number on the thing.

There were two other dogs with it that we saw. They were cruising around the herd of cattle. Ended up being 176 yards.

Hit the top of the left front shoulder then the spine and out. Pretty devastating.

Very nice. Looks about like what the 25-06 does to them when bone is hit.

I would agree. The 7mm 140 grain bullet does really well for me. I've killed several deer with it and none have been destroyed. Now, with any of the faster bullets, you hit a bone and things just start blowing to pieces.
