I'm sitting at my loading bench getting to load up some ammo for 5 different 30-06 rifles to do some target shooting this weekend. Trying to keep the brass and load data strait for all of them is annoying. I am wondering have any of you stumbled on a pet load that shoots well in about any rifle you try? I'm not looking for razors edge accuracy just around MOA out to 800yds max. I want to flr brass and keep it simple. I have a wide spread of powders and bullets. Any thoughts?

I've had several '06's over the years; all Remington 700's and one Remington 760 - late 50's vintage. The load following shot well in all of them. By "well" I mean if I do my part, 1 MOA is easily achieved from factory barrels.

R-P Brass cleaned and FL resized with .002" shoulder bump.
CCI -200 primer (I've also used Rem 9 1/2 too)
57 gn H4350
Sierra 155 MatchKing or similar. I've got a few loaded with Berger 155 VLDs at the moment.

Seat bullet to book COAL

Haven't seen an factory 06 that didn't shoot this load well. Probably could be tuned a bit to shoot better but, for me, it has knocked down all the game I've ever used it on. It ain't broke so I don't fix it.

56.5 grns IMR 4350 178 Amax. 3.35 coal. This has shot very well in three 30-06's I have loaded for, you cant seem to go wrong, with the 4350's and 180-200 grn. Bullets..

Savage 110, savage 111, 2 Remington 700, and a custom built mauser. Factory barrels on all but the mauser. Mauser is a 28in krieger barrel.

57 i4350 and 165 hdy bullets has been sub moa for me in 3 different '06 rifles...
I haven't shot the load in my current '06 as I'm saving my better bullets for my 300, but I will soon... this rifle isn't liking table scraps from the big 30's I have
