Mule deer numbers are down in the western part of the state. Up in the eastern part.
You want HUGE muleys go to the big horns. Northern part west of Burgess Junction on Hwy 14A. As you look up the mountains you'll see where the tree line stops, look above that.
As we know deer come out in the evening to feed. Normally they come down, but, the really large bucks go up. If you take a spike camp and get a ways above the tree line, hide and wait. You'll see more giant mulies then you can imagine.
I dont know what NR area it is, I hunt with a General Tag.
If you're willing to hike up there, it will be worth your time.
