I do live in Ga. and iam purchasing a new 300 win mag Remington 5r. I do not hand load but i do want to start going out to the midwest to hunt, but until then I deer hunt in Ga. So we are talking shooting deer from 30 yds to 400yds. I havelooked at Black Hills ammoand HSM and Georgia Arms. I think 180 grain bullets are a little overkilll for a whitetailand 165 is more in my taste. I also want to go to the range and punchsome targets with this ammo. I dont mind paying for quality ammo, so what do you guys recommend as what is a good hunting/ target round?
