I've always been fond of the .300 Winchester Magnum cartridge for my shooting needs, so I'm going back to it and this rifle would spend most of it life in the safe.

The rifle was built completely by BenchMark barrels in Arlington WA. I had more work done after the fact by Kampfeld Custom.

Stainless Remington 700 long action, trued by Benchmark.

Shilen trigger 1.5 lbs

Base holes opened to 8/40 by Kampfeld

Bolt spiral fluted by Kampfeld

Hunter bolt knob installed by Kampfeld

Sako extractor

Action bedded by Kampfeld

Feed rails opened and action work done for a Wyatte's center feed extended box

Factory aluminum/silver BDL bottom metal

Pinned PTG recoil lug

Benchmark 30" stainless fluted, 9.5' Twist, Sendero contour barrel. Meticulous barrel break in, cleaned ever 20 rounds after with only a patch and jag. This barrel has been pampered. NEVER shot hot.

4'port "Muscle" brake

GreyBull stock with aluminum bedding block

Spooky accurate with 300gr Berger OTM's, 225gr Accubond's and Hornady 285gr Match.

This was a group shot @ 300 yards with the first load I ever tried with the Berger 300gr OTM's. Virgin .300 Ultra brass loaded with .338 RUM dies.

Wonder what What is worse anticipation of having rifle built or waiting hoping no one else is gonna buy the one you want cause you waiting on taxes. I going to say waiting on taxes. So close you can see it sitting in your house yet so far away. I would be pulling my hair out. The thought jumped in my head as well but wife would be little upset.
